Supported Housing
A settled home makes room for everything else. When you’re not sure where you’ll be living next, it’s hard to focus on your health, hold to a routine, or plan much ahead. A stable place to live for a while, with support alongside, gives you a steady base to work from, and to take the next step when you’re ready.
Supported Housing offers medium-term accommodation for adults who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness. The program offers a place in a shared home in the Greater Darwin region, with staff onsite and support that helps you hold a tenancy, look after your wellbeing, and plan your move into long-term housing.
The program offers structured shared accommodation combined with tenancy and recovery support. The end goal is stability, skills and confidence to move into a home of your own. Most people are with the program for six to twelve months. Progress is reviewed regularly and the focus stays on being ready for the transition into longer-term housing.

What we offer

- A stable place to live – supported transitional accommodation in shared houses across Greater Darwin with on-site staff
- Tenancy and recovery support – culturally safe, one-on-one support shaped around your pace and goals, covering both the everyday realities of holding a tenancy and your wellbeing along the way
- Living as part of a household - sharing the running of the house day-to-day and taking part in house meetings where decisions are made together.
- An individual plan built around you - a personal plan, reviewed regularly, focused on your goals and planning for long-term housing
- Warm connections to other supports – supported introductions to health, cultural, employment, and education services, and a hand with the practical side of settling into the community, as needed
- Support after the move – up to three months of aftercare once you’ve settled into longer term housing
Supported Housing is delivered by TeamHEALTH, with funding from the Northern Territory Department of Children and Families.
