What is Supported Independent Living (SIL)?
Supported Independent Living (SIL) is a type of NDIS-funded support that helps people with psychosocial disability or mental health concerns live as independently as possible while receiving support with daily tasks and routines. At TeamHEALTH, SIL is more than just housing—it’s about creating a stable home environment that supports recovery, wellbeing, and personal growth.
Who is SIL for?
SIL is designed for people who:
- Have a NDIS plan with SIL funding
- Live with a psychosocial disability or complex mental health needs
- Would benefit from shared living arrangements with tailored daily support
- Want to build life skills and independence while maintaining safety and connection
Our Approach

You’ll be supported to develop everyday living skills such as cooking, budgeting, personal care, social participation, and managing appointments—at your pace, on your terms.

Our SIL Homes
TeamHEALTH operates SIL homes across the Greater Darwin Region. Each home is designed to feel welcoming and respectful of your privacy, preferences, and routines. Our staff are trained in trauma-informed, mental health-specific care, and many bring lived experience to their roles.
