According to Dr Pidgeon, the ‘Aim to Flourish’ step is based around the four stages of mental health. From low to high there are mental illness, languishing, moderate mental health, and flourishing. While most people are in the moderate mental health section, positive psychology aims to move people into the flourishing sector, to lift ourselves to the highest level of mental health we need to consider a few areas in our lives.
