The aim of the Child and Family Wellbeing Service is to support children and young people who are showing early signs of, or are at risk of developing a mental illness, to improve their wellbeing and enable them to better participate in their communities and reach their full potential.
Reporting to and working closely with the Team Leader, the Child and Family Wellbeing Worker will deliver strength based case management and activities to children, young people and families in line with program guidelines. Outreach support is also provided to assist in the development and implementation of participant centred Family Action Plans.
Possessing qualifications in a relevant health or welfare area the successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in working with children, young people and families in the application of a strength based approach and competence in a range of interventions relevant to children and young people.
This position is a fixed term contract to 30 June 2019.
