Operations Manager, Services

The Operations Manager, Services will report to the Executive Manager - Services and has broad oversight of a diverse portfolio of government and fee for service programs, including community housing, homelessness, the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), and aged care. In 2025–26, TeamHEALTH will implement five new housing projects to support people exiting homelessness while concurrently reviewing disability and aged care programs to strengthen quality, efficiency, and long-term sustainability. The Operations Manager, Services will play a key role in ensuring these programs are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with organisational and participant outcomes.

This position requires critical thinking and sound decision making skills, as well as the ability to manage risk, allocate resources effectively, and respond quickly to emerging challenges. The Operations Manager, Services will oversee and contribute to organisational program reviews, engage internal and external experts, and support the Executive Manager in implementing improvement recommendations. By fostering collaboration across teams and maintaining a focus on service excellence, the Operations Manager, Services will help ensure that TeamHEALTH’s programs deliver strong outcomes for participants and communities, while building organisational capability and sustainability for the future.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience in the design, development and implementation of government and fee for service funded supports in the social services/health/mental health sector
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and deliver improvements to program efficiency, quality, productivity and sustainability
  • Demonstrated understanding of NDIS funding requirements, NDIS legislation, the strengthened quality care standards and aged care legislation
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with key stakeholders including community members, community services and government departments
  • A strong understanding of the legislative and regulatory environment within which government-funded programs are delivered
  • Advanced problem-solving skills, with a strong understanding of risk and financial management
  • Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities within a dynamic yet resource-constrained environment.

This position includes consideration of above award conditions for the right applicant including 6 weeks of annual leave, the opportunity for a compressed 9 day working fortnight and relocation assistance to Darwin of up to $2 500.00.
