Recovery Assistance Program

The Recovery Assistance Program is an outreach, mental health recovery service that supports individuals to develop skills, support networks and achieve personal goals. The program is recovery focused and assists individuals to live a full life, with a valued sense of self and and purpose.

How will the Recovery Assistance Program help me?

Many factors contribute to recovery beyond good clinical care – a safe home, strong relationships, something meaningful to do and financial security. We all have the right to lead a fulfilling life with close connections to family and friends, experiencing good health and wellbeing and having something to do each day, which provides meaning and purpose.

The program provides personalised, mental health recovery support that focuses on the key areas of an individuals life: managing mental health, physical health, living skills, relationships and work life.

Our staff will work with you to maintain and increase your independence, so that you may lead the life of your choice, engaged with your community.

The Recovery Assisitance Program will support you or the person that you care for to maintain these aspects of your/their life. Support includes:

  • A focus on the development of skills and access to resources and the networks needed to create satisfaction in all aspects of your life.
  • The development of an Individual Recovery Plan, that values your perspective and enables empowerment and choice.
  • Building on individual strengths and promoting self-determination through access to partner organisations that provide meaningful opportunities for program participants.
