PRIVACY AND DIGNITY POLICY
TEAMhealth will ensure that staff members in the accommodation environment and in the community, at all times, respect and uphold the individuals’ right to privacy and dignity.
This applies to all assistance with personal care personal relationships, personal property and community access that actively encourages the positive portrayal of clients and provides effective quality services in the least intrusive way possible.
PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY POLICY
Each person provided with a service by TEAMhealth will be given the same level of privacy, dignity and confidentiality as expected by other members of the community.
For the purposes of this policy, all information about a person (medical, personal, financial or otherwise) who is provided with a service by TEAMhealth is to be treated in the strictest confidence.
This right also covers information, which TEAMhealth staff may obtain, or be provided with during the course of their duties, concerning the families, friends, advocates or guardians of such individuals.
TEAMhealth will not reveal information to another agency about a client or family member without the written consent of the client or family member. The only exception to this is where a TEAMhealth staff member believes the client to be a risk to themselves or another person or where a child is at risk.
