Domestic Violence/Women

DAIWS – 08 8945 2284.  A 24 hour domestic violence crisis centre.  A centre for women and children escaping domestic violence, sexual assault or abuse who are homeless.  DAIWS provides accommodation, meals and transport to relevant services (centrelink, school, health, housing etc).

DAIWS: Indigenous Women’s Outreach Services – 08 8947 3210 – Location – BERRIMAH.  Provide skills to women and families by improving their family relationships.  They also provide post case-management support to women and children exiting the shelter into private/public accommodation. 

DAIWS: Indigenous Men’s Outreach Service – 08 8947 3240.  Provide appropriate individual counselling and group education to indigenous men regarding violence, anger, relationships, problem solving and managing conflict.
